Glyde For Dogs

There comes a time in every dog’s life when they start to slow down. Protecting your dog’s ability to run, jump, swim and play is vital to ensuring a good quality of life. Joint problems and joint pain are common in dogs and it can affect dogs in different ways. There are a number of factors that can lead to the development of osteoarthritis. Some of these, like obesity, can be avoided by ensuring that your dog is fed a well-balanced, nutritious food and exercised regularly. Other factors, such as injury to a joint, old age or orthopedic disease are not as easy to avoid. Arthritis occurs when the flexible tissue located at the end of and in between the bones wears down. This condition is not curable but can be managed with treatments such as Glyde Mobility Chews for Dogs.

Glyde is the only nutraceutical (pharmaceutical alternative) available for dogs that contain levels of three key ingredients that have been proven to work in the relief of pain associated with arthritis in dogs. These ingredients are –

·         New Zealand Green Lipped Mussel which is a powerful anti-inflammatory, proven to reduce joint pain and swelling.

·         Glucosamine which reduces the degradation of cartilage and improves the function of the joints.

·         Chondroitin which has been proven to rebuild cartilage.

How do I know if my dog is experiencing joint pain?

It should not be difficult to notice if your dog is experiencing joint pain as it will interfere with your dog’s normal movements. You may notice that your dog’s behaviour has changed, and some common indicators are –

·         Limping

·         Slow to get up from a lying position

·         Awkward or stiff movements

·         Difficulty or refusal to climb stairs or jump onto the couch

·         The may even flinch if you pet them.

How is Glyde administered to my dog?

Glyde comes in a tasty, easy to administer chew and the dosage is determined by the weight of your dog. For the first 4-6 weeks of use, it is administered at a higher dosage rate, known as an initial loading dose, which can help your dog rapidly achieve therapeutic levels of the active ingredients in their system. After this initial period, you administer the chews at a maintenance level, which is half the initial dose. For best results, it should be given to your dog on a daily basis.
